Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our rental service.

What is the minimum age to rent a Vespa or scooter?

You must be at least 21 years old to rent and ride one of our Vespas or scooters. This requirement helps us provide you with a safe and enjoyable riding experience.

Can I rent and drive with a digital licence or a photo of my licence?

The original, valid physical driving licence is required. A photo, screenshot or digital copy of the licence is not sufficient for rental.

I have a licence issued in an EU country, the United Kingdom or Switzerland: can I rent?

Yes, no problem. Licences issued in European Union or European Economic Area countries, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are accepted directly in Italy, with no need for an international driving permit or translation. Simply present the original, valid physical licence together with a valid identity document.

I have a licence issued outside the EU/EEA: can I rent?

Yes, you can. At the time of vehicle collection you will need to present:

  • your original national driving licence, valid and in good standing
  • an International Driving Permit (IDP) or an official Italian translation of your licence
  • your passport or a valid identity document

A photo, screenshot or digital copy of the licence is not sufficient. If you are unsure about the documents required, please contact us before booking: we will be happy to check what you need.

How much does a Vespa 125 cost?

Vespa 125 is €70 per day. Includes third-party insurance, two helmets, top case and lock. It's our premium option for the Cinque Terre – book in advance on WhatsApp as availability is limited.

How much does a SYM 125 scooter cost?

Our SYM Symphony 125 (or similar 125cc) starts at €50 per day. Same inclusions as the Vespa, perfect value for exploring La Spezia and the coast.

Where can I park the scooter in Cinque Terre?

Each village has dedicated paid motorcycle parking: Riomaggiore (upper parking), Manarola (above town), Corniglia (at the entrance), Vernazza (before the downhill), Monterosso (Fegina seafront). Scooters avoid ZTL restrictions and park much easier than cars.

Can I visit all five villages in one day by scooter?

Yes – it's the best way. From La Spezia take the SP370: Riomaggiore (15 min), Manarola (5), Corniglia (10), Vernazza (15), Monterosso (10). With photo stops you can complete the loop in 6-8 hours and return by 8pm.
